Office for Cities offers a high-level expertise in order to devise innovative, sustainable and operational solutions. Our services include the production of territorial or metropolitan analysis, the undertaking of tailor-made research works for public authorities or private clients, the creation of successful network of partnerships, strategic advices on urban, program and financial aspects of projects as well project management and commmunication.

Office for Cities intervenes at both local and European scales. Our clients and collaborators are spread over London, Paris, Brussels, Zurich, New York, Berlin, Milan, Lisbon, Bucharest… We learn from the variety of clients and contexts that offers a diversity of point of views, case studies and rich elements of comparison. We enjoy the time we live in and take what is often claimed as crisis as an opportunity for developing alternative urban agendas and innovative models to build strong commitments toward territories and users.

Flavien Menu is the founder and director of Office for Cities.

Flavien is an architect with a dual-degree in Urban Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and London School of Economics. Flavien’s ability to articulate architectural, political, economical issues of urban regeneration and real estate development help to build relevant visions for urban, architectural, programmatic, economic and political aspects of the project.

Prior to launch his own practice, Flavien has led and managed architectural and urban projects for l’AUC Paris and Bjarke Ingels Group Copenhagen. He has worked alongside a wide range of governmental and corporate clients and a diversity of projects from metropolitan strategic framework to brownfield regeneration.

Flavien is extensively writing and debating to fuel the social, political and cultural debate on built environment issues. He was recently invited to talk at the European Conference at Harvard Kennedy School and the The Venice Biennale.

Flavien has taught at the Architectural Association in London alongside with Peter Swinnen and he is regularly invited as a guest critic in a wide range of cultural insitutions : Columbia GSAP New York, ETH Zurich, Royal College of Arts London,
